Council Annual Meeting & Recognition Dinner

All Scouting volunteers are invited to attend the annual meeting of the Yankee Clipper Council for the purpose of hearing annual reports, electing council officers and other council business.
 
That evening is also a celebration and recognition dinner.  We will recognize James E. West Fellows and present the highest award on a council level, the Silver Beaver Award, to several deserving Scouters.
 

 Cost is $45.00 per person.  Pay before May 31st and you receive a $7.50 per person discount and the fee is only $37.50 per person.  On-Line Dinner Reservations

COUNCIL NOMINATING COMMITTEE

Tim Felter, President of the Yankee Clipper Council, Boy Scouts of America, proudly announces that Dennis Gleason will serve as the chair of the council Nominating Committee for the 2011-2012 slate of  Council Officers, Executive Board members, Local Council Representatives to the National Council, Advisory Board members and Council Members at Large.
 
The annual meeting and elections will be held on Thursday, June 9, 2011 beginning at 6:00 PM at the Wyndham Boston Andover Hotel in Andover, MA in conjunction with the annual Silver Beaver presentations and council annual recognition program.
 
Active members of the Yankee Clipper Council may make recommendations of possible nominees to the council nominating committee for consideration.  These must be submitted in writing no later than May 1, 2011.  Active members should send their recommendations to CouncilNominatingCommittee@YCCBSA.org or by mail to:

Nomination should include as much information as possible:
  • Individual’s name
  • Contact data (home and business address, phone #’s and email -- all that is known)
  • Family data (any children past or current Scouts?)
  • Scouting background, if any
  • Education and career history
  • Current employer and position
  • History of service to other youth or philanthropic organizations
  • Potential role the individual could play in Yankee Clipper Council
  • Name of a current board member or other Scouter who may be of assistance in approaching the individual
