Calling All Scouts Young and Old

Scouts can earn their Jewish Scouting badges- Earn Scouting’s Jewish Religious Awards

 A special workshop for Jewish Cub Scouts, Brownies Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, and Venturers is being held on Sunday December 7 from 2 to 5 PM at Temple Reyim (1860 Washington Street, Newton, MA).

Scouts from all over Greater Boston have been invited to participate including the members of Yankee Clipper Council, Mohegan Council, Knox Trail Council, Boston Minuteman Council, Old Colony Council, Girl Scouts of Eastern Massachusetts, as well as our local Boston area Israeli Scouts.

All Scouts interested in earning their Jewish Scouting Religious awards (e.g., Maccabee, Aleph, Ner Tamid, Etz Chaim, Lehavah, Bat Or, Menorah, Or Emunah) are welcome to attend. A special awards ceremony will be held in February for all Scouts completing their badges.

New this year, Scouts will also have the opportunity to earn the Hebrew Interpreter strip – a special badge that demonstrates their ability to read and speak Hebrew.
