Annual Adult Leader Awards |
Do you know someone who should be honored for the work they do for your Pack or Troop, or the Great Eastern District? Does your Scoutmaster or Cubmaster go beyond the call of duty and provides a shining example for the boys? Please nominate them for the Scoutmaster or Cubmaster awards. Is there someone in your Pack or Troop who is always there, ready to lend a hand? Then you can honor them with the "Hour a Week Award". Does your Commissioner provide you and your Pack or Troop exemplary assistance and advice? Consider nominating your Commissioner for a "Unit Commissioner Service Award". Finally, is there someone who has served the District with distinction and is also a key participant in other activities within the community? Please give serious consideration for nominating this person for the District Award of Merit. Nomination forms can be accessed by clicking the links for each form. All nominations (Cubmaster, Scoutmaster, Unit Commissioner, District Award of Merit) must be received by April 10th to allow time for a District decision. Please submit the applications to Laura Moriarty (lmoriarty@bsamail.org) or Sam Plouffe (splouffe@bsamail.org). "Hour of Week Awards" are not subject to further decisions but are also needed by April 10. All awards will be presented at the District Dinner on May 1. Please attend the dinner to honor those who have done so much for the Packs, Troops of the District. |

YANKEE CLIPPER COUNCIL's JOURNEY TO EXCELLENCE | |
Journey to Excellence is the new performance recognition program for councils, districts, and units that aligns recognition with the National Strategic Plan. Journey To Excellence, the new performance recognition program, changes the basic way we measure and recognize success in the Boy Scouts of America by moving away from measuring process and moving to measuring performance. It is based on many of the best practices used in the corporate performance measurement field today. |
