The Finance Committee of the District raises funds to finance the operation of Scouting in the Council. There are camps to improve and operate. A professional staff is needed for the support and guidance of volunteers. There is training to provide, activities to plan and operate, a service center to operate. All these things are necessary to the movement's achievement of its purpose, and they cost money. The Finance raises funds primarily via Friends of Scouting (FOS). FOS has three parts:
